I yearn for the day that I dont think of you,

The love, that smile,

All those sweet things you do.

Wondering each morning,

If you're missing me too.

Or are you happier now

While I'm grieving still?

I find something cool

to send for you to keep.

Or waiting on that moment

For you to sing me to sleep.

Now my smiles are more frequent

I'm enjoying compliments too.

Getting better each day

Just wish I wasn't thinking of you.

I hope that grief is ending

And the days are not so tough.

I know I'm worth fighting for

And it took me long enough,

To realise that I'm worth more

Than a heart that isn't in it.

I deserve pure love

A whole hearted commitment

I'm scared of the day I stop thinking of you

Because then it will be over.
