She is on her ship. A fierce grin on her face as the wind blows the hair from her features. Licking her lips she frowns, not what she expected, her lips become red, red as wine, red as arterial blood. She lifts her hands from the ships wheel and looks down at them. They are red, dripping with viscous fluid. She turns and as she turns she is back in her cabin. On the floor is the captain of her ship. Her lover. Her friend. Her betrayer…except… except the note she holds in her hand says otherwise, she can hear screaming. Is that her? She is shaking, tears flowing down her face but she makes no sound. Her voice repeats over and over, floating from all around "I'm sorry…I'm sorry…I'm sorry…"
With a sharp intake of breath she opens her mouth to howl her rage, her pain, her fears but instead…
…wakes up.

She looks younger than she does now, less…strained, less angry. Her long black curls flying behind her as she runs down an ornate passageway, the mask in her fingers trailing ribbons like a train. A giggle escapes her lips as she swings round a corner, pressing her back to the wall the smile slips from her mouth and she reaches in to her tight red corset, pulling out a silver key. A noise is heard and she freezes, a shadow runs past the end of the corridor, a male voice whispers her name. Doesn't stop. She lets out a quiet sigh of relief, turns and heads down this quieter, darker corridor. The door at the end, that's her goal, she wants what is behind it so badly she can taste it, reaching she presses two fingers to the wood, her other hand inserts the key into the lock.
With a loud click and a sharp intake of breath she pushes the door but doesn't move, she feels his breath "bad girl…" as his fingers trace down her back, she shivers, unsure whether it is revulsion or lust. She feels then, the prick of his sharp silverite blade through her corset, the shock causing her to…
…wake up.
